Confused??..Whats in the Title?..Choosing it?

This particular situation arises mostly for Final Year Project (FYP) and Master's students. Its an air dropped situation, time is critical, choice looks so limited and confused. A simple analogy, if i would drop anyone of this confused souls into a buffet line, confusion doesn't arise at all. Combined past experiences and seasoned taste buds will navigate your way to the favorite dish or to any of your preferred starters.

  Treat this note as a prequel for your choices of titles minus your choice of supervisors. All research projects can be classified into TWO (2) categories which will be OPEN and CLOSED environment.

  The OPEN category kind of research defines whereby the core research work is conducted in a non-closed situation. Lets discuss about this, feed-back defined research needs, it requires the research owner to interact with the civil society depending on which (whereby some can be contacted via emails) to obtain the feed-back. The particular environment is fluid, variables keeps changing, thus for this controllers need to be in place to avoid topic deviation. The other open category will be technology based work whereby research needs to be conducted in the open, such as sun-light intensity study, lighting strikes, animal species tagging, botany, archeology based and many more. This research is very dynamic and challenging, the core work is a fluid variable and to contain it, need major peseverance and innovation to capture and analyse.

  The CLOSE category obviously is done under a roof, laboratory, work space, room, home and whatever other closed enviroments available. The CLOSE category can be further divided into computer base and non-computer base, the non-computer base will be surely a laboratory environment where testing and characterization work will be done.

The above are just some fillers for a prospective student to understand into what they are getting into, and also gives them a heads-up to choose accordingly. Choose the project where you are at your most comfortable, happy and good at, thus half of your battle towards a succesfull research completion is done.
